YouTube Music Launches AI-Powered Playlist Creation Feature

YouTube Music has launched a new AI feature called Ask Music to help curate playlists based on user prompts. The feature offers to “turn any idea into your own radio station.” For example, you can type “legendary pop songs” and the AI ​​will generate an entire radio station based on those inputs.

Ask Music is likely powered by Gemini, which can be guessed by the AI ​​model’s logo. The feature is accessible via a purple card in the Home feed. Tapping the card displays a full-screen chat UI with suggestions. You can also type your own prompts.

Playlist Creation Feature

The new feature is currently available to YouTube Music Premium subscribers in the US, Canada, and Australia on the Android mobile app. A full release for more countries and languages is also planned.
