YouTube had previously announced an AI assistant that would advise users about videos, suggest similar content without interrupting the viewing experience. Until now, the feature was only available for Android. Now it works on iOS as well.

Ask Music

Another one of the recent features that was only available to a limited number of people. As announced by YouTube : “Soon, we’ll be expanding Ask Music to Android subscribers in the UK and Ireland”. What’s Ask Music? By describing your mood, YouTube will generate a personalized radio station with tracks that match your specific request.

New Experimental Features

YouTube has decided that it’s not enough to surprise us with just one. Now YouTube Premium users will be able to choose from a whole list of new features to use at the link : youtube.com/new

• Picture-in-Picture for Shorts: now each user will be able to watch multiple videos at the same time on all devices. This is a really useful feature for gen z that will help to select the right content faster.

• Smart Downloads for YouTube Shorts: from now on, videos from your Shorts feed will be uploaded for offline viewing. Now not only for Android, but also for iOS.

• x4 for Video on Phone: previously, we were able to speed up videos to this speed only on the desktop version of YouTube. Now it’s available for the mobile app as well, which is quite convenient.

• High quality sound: a great feature for sound geeks and those who like to watch music videos. Premium users will be able to hear the new sound at 256 kbps.

• “Jump ahead” in Desktop Version: Previously, rewinding a video in one tap was only possible in the app. Now you can “jump to the right moment of the video” in the desktop version of YouTube.

Google One+YouTube Premium=?
