In the generated scenarios, you can imagine yourself as a video game character or, for example, an astronaut exploring space. The system will use the user’s photos to create them. Meta spokesperson Amanda Felix explained that the platform will only generate images with a user’s face if they onboard the Imagine Yourself feature and accept the corresponding terms and conditions. Such photos and selfies can then be shared or generated in real time.

During an interview with The Verge, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that adding AI images to your feeds is the next “logical jump” for Facebook and Instagram to have AI-generated content in addition to user-generated content.
Meta emphasizes that this feature is currently in the testing phase, so it is unclear how soon it will be available to all users.
